Day 01: Arrive Yangon
Sightseeing (-/L/D)
Welcome up arrival at Yangon international airport by our guide
and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy sightseeing tour in Yangon featuring a scenic
photo stops on beautiful Kandawgyi Lake, colossal reclining Buddha
Chaukhtatkyi.
Afternoon finish our tour with a visit to the awe-inspiring
Shwedagon Pagoda which towers over all of Yangon. It is perhaps the most
beautiful pagoda complex in all of Asia and is one sight that no visitor to
Myanmar should miss. Enjoy sunset over the Pagoda and return to the hotel.
Meals included: Lunch at local restaurant and welcoming dinner at
the hotel.

Day 02:Yangon/ Bagan
(Flight), Bagan Sightseeing (B/-/-)
In the early morning
ttransfer to
the Yangon airport to take a flight to Bagan (0630/0750). Upon arrival we start
our sightseeing tour of Bagan’s distinctive pagodas such as Shwezigon, a
prototype of later Myanmar stupas; Wetkyi-in- Gubyaukgyi, a 13th
century ‘cave temple with interesting fine frescoes; Ananda Pagoda, one of the
finest, largest and best persevered in Old Bagan; and next to it we visit
Ananda Ok Kyaung, one of the few surviving brick monastery buildings from the
Early Bagan period and Htilominlo Temple which is known to be the last Myanmar
Style temple built in Bagan.
Afternoon sightseeing highlights
includes Sulamani Temple built in by King Narapatisithu, Dhammayangyi Temple, a
massive later period temple with the finest brickwork in Bagan and Thatbyinnyu
Temple which towering above the other
monuments of Bagan. As the sun goes down we will be at one of the ideal viewing
sites selected by our tour guide for a panoramic sunset view over the temples.

Day 03: Bagan Sightseeing (B/-/-)
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit to NyaungOo Market; and
continue our sightseeing to more of Bagan’s impressive pagodas such as Manuha
Temple built by King Manuha to represent his displeasure of captivity, Nanpaya
close behind the Manuha and which is also Bagan's first "gu-style"
(cave) shrine and next to visit Gubaukgyi Temple, in the old Bagan village of
Myinkaba, is an early period temple with well preserved paintings inside. We
will also visit to a lacquer ware factory and in the late afternoon, enjoy the
sunset on top of a pagoda or temple chosen by our guide.

Day
04:Bagan-Mt.Popa-Mandalay by car (B/-/-)
Breakfast at the hotel.Morning
drive to Mt. Popa, which supposedly rose from the ground in a massive earthquake
in 442 BC. Mt. Popa is famous as the abode of the Nats (Spirit Gods) and for
its panoramic view of the local tropical region. There is a volcanic plug with
a temple on top that we can climb up to if we like. On the way to Mt. Popa
visit a local toddy palm farmer and see how toddy palm juice and sugar are
produced.
And then drive to Mandalay about
6 -7 hours away. A friendly wave to curious onlookers along the road will bring
warm smiles and waves of appreciation in return. Arrive Mandalay and drive to
hotel.

Day 05:Amarapura and
Mandalay Sightseeing (B/-/-)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning travel to the ancient
royal capital of Amarapura. Here we will visit Mahagandayon monastery, which is
a school for young monks, and the nearby U Beinbridge. It is more than two
centuries old and at 1.2 km is the longest teakwood span in the world.
Afternoon sightseeing includes
the highly revered Mahamuni Pagoda; a gold leaf hammering craftshop, Shwenandaw
Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings; Kuthodaw Pagoda, renowned as
the World's largest book for its 729 stone slabs containing the entire Buddhist
scriptures, and if time permits Mandalay Hill for a view over the city and
Ayeyarwaddy River.

Day 06: Mandalay/ Heho
(Flight), Inle Lake Sightseeing (B/-/-)
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer
to the Mandalay airport to take a flight to Heho (0850/0920). Arrive Heho
airport and drive to unique and magical Inle Lake, located about 900 meters
above sea level and 20 km long by 6 km wide. Arrive NyaungShwe jetty and start
our sightseeing by long tailed boat to Innpawkhone Village where you can see
lotus and silk weaving industries. Next visit Nanpan to see the traditional
boat making, cheroot (Burmese cigar) making factory.
And then continue our visit to
Phaungdaw U Pagoda and if we have time, take a short visit to Leshae Village
where you can see the making of Buddha image from dried flower powder. Later visit
to NgaPhaeChaung monastery and floating gardens.

Day 07: Indain Sightseeing (B/-/-)
Breakfast at the hotel. We
continue our Inle Lake sightseeing with a visit to Indain and its enchanting 17th
century pagodas. To reach Indain and the nearby village we will take a boat
ride up a small scenic creek that runs into Inlelake.
Overnight in NyaungShwe.
Day08: Inle Lake-Local Train from ShweNyaung to Aung Ban- Kalaw (B/-/-)
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning transfer to ShweNyaung railway
station to take a local train to Aung Ban. Our car will follow and pick us up
at the Aung Ban station and continue drive to Kalaw. Kalaw sits high on the
western edge of the Shan Plateau and was a popular hill station in the British
times. It is still a peaceful and quiet place with an atmosphere remnant of
colonial era.
Sightseeing in Kalaw includes Nee Paya, a gold lacquered bamboo
Buddha.

Kalaw.
Day 09: Kalaw-Heho/Yangon
(Flight) and Yangon Sightseeing (B/-/-)
BogyokeAung San (Scott) Market
(closed on Monday and public holidays)
After breakfast at the hotel,
transfer to the Heho airport to take a flight back to Yangon (0935/1045). Today
we will go to Yangon downtown area and from there we walk along the
Pansodanstreet which has many large colonial buildings which are still in use.
It is also interesting to see the sidewalk markets including those selling old
books and magazines dated from the 1960’s up to the present. And then we will go
to Wahdan jetty where we can see the boats come from the Delta and see many
goods loaded and unloaded. The hustle and bustle of the people and the ships
create a very colorful experience.
Afternoon sightseeing includes
China town before going to the famous Scott Market, a sprawling complex built
in 1926 and noted for its variety of handicrafts and other items which provides
an excellent opportunity for a shopping spree. Finish our tour with a visit to
Botataung Pagoda, which is hollow and through which you can walk and see many
ancient relics.

Day 10: Departure Transfer
