SAILING THE MYEIK ARCHIPELAGO – II

Day 1: Yangon - Kawthaung                                                                                                                         (B)

This morning transfer to the Yangon airport for the domestic flight to Kawthaung.

The remainder of the day is at your leisure to relax and enjoy the tranquil rhythms of this sleepy fishing town. There are several small temples and a local market to explore in the town centre or just find a teashop and watch the goings on at the waterfront.

Overnight in Kawthaung.

Day 2: Kawthaung – MyaukPhyu Island                                                                                                 (B,L,D)

After breakfast, you will be picked up by a representative from the cruise company and transferred to the jetty to start your four night cruise.

Your boat is waiting- a specially designed sail boat with 3 air-conditioned cabins and plenty of deck space for relaxing and enjoying the scenic cruise.

After immigration clearance, depart from KawthaungPort to MyaukPhyuIsland (Cruising time: Approx. 4 hours)

Enjoy the lunch on board as you glide across the pristine seas. Upon arrival, go for a swim or simply relax and enjoy.

Return to the boat for dinner.

Overnight onboard near the island.

Day 3: MyaukPhyu – Macleod Island                                                                                                      (B,L,D)

This morning the boat will stay around MyaukPhyu while you swim, snorkel and kayak around the island.

Then the boat will resume its journey through the Myeik Archipelago making its way to MacleodIsland. Relax on deck, watching the spectacular scenery pass by.

Enjoy the lunch onboard

Upon reaching MacleodIsland, go ashore to explore the white sandy beaches and spend time snorkeling and kayaking around the island. Macleod Island is known for its beautiful coral reefs and thick tropical rain forest filled with exotic bird species. It is also famous for its fresh seafood with the country’s best lobster, squid and crabs coming from this area.

Dinner is served onboard.

Day 4: Macleod Island – Say Tan (Dunkin) Island                                                                               (B,L,D)

Today begins with a spectacular sailing trip to Say Tan Island.

Say Tan is a small but vastly diverse island with a white sandy beach on the western side and a lush, forest interior. For those who wish to explore, a guided trek on the island is available.  Say Tan is also famous for its wild monkeys who often can be seen looking for food playing on the beach in the morning.

Overnight onboard.

Day 5: Say Tan - KyetMauk (Cocks &Combe)                                                                                  (B,L,D)

After breakfast the boat sets off sailing to KyetMauk Island, also known as Cocks &Combe.

Enjoy lunch en route.

Venture ashore and go for a kayak through the hidden lagoon. The lagoon is the size of a football field and filled with corals and fish- you can snorkel or paddle in by inflatable kayak.

Tonight the boat will moor near the island.

Overnight onboard.

Day 6: KyetMauk Island - MyinKhwar (Horseshoe) Island – Kawthaung                                 (B,L)

Today the boat will make its way back to Kawthaung, taking around 5 hours. Along the way we’ll make one more stop at MyinKhwar Island, 22 miles southwest of Kawthaung. The land is very rocky and you can visit one of the biggest bird’s nest caves in the world. 

Upon arrival at Kawthaung Jetty this afternoon, you will be welcomed by our local representative to assist smooth running procedure at immigration check point.

Then transfer to your hotel for a relaxing evening.

Day 7: Departure Kawthaung                                                                                                                      (B)

After breakfast, enjoy your day leisure in the morning. Then transfer to the airport for your flight to Yangon (OR) transfer to the jetty to cross the Pakchan River to Ranong in Thailand for your onward flight or on to Phuket.
